GERL.
Founded in 1911 by Anton Gerl in Berlin and family-owned for three generations, GERL uniquely combines tradition and innovation. Today, the company is led by Prof. Dr. Henning Richter, who, together with approximately 900 dedicated employees at 26 locations in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, continues to build on this success story.

The partnership between comevis and GERL. has been in place since 2024 and focuses on the development and systematic integration of brand building and the customer experience.
The core objective is to empower GERL. to independently manage its brand and services through audio—based on a clearly defined identity, structured systems, and integrated tools for flexible further development.
Project Outline
Challenge
GERL. wanted to consistently evolve its brand identity—audibly across all relevant touchpoints.
The focus was on strategically aligning the brand promise with service interactions and ensuring consistency throughout.
Methodology
comevis developed a comprehensive audio brand identity for GERL. based on the guiding principle “Passion drives GERL.” The service features a clearly structured call flow with curated AI voices; this is complemented by VADio Creator Pro for flexible audio and voice customization, as well as VADio Cast to enhance digital content with an audio dimension.
Result
A holistic design system in which the brand and customer experience are seamlessly integrated. The audio DNA is consistent, scalable, and structurally integrated across all touchpoints—from video communication to the customer experience—while offering the flexibility to further develop auditive content independently.

Transformation
In the service sector, there has been a shift from traditional customer service to a brand-driven call flow featuring curated AI voices and an integrated mood system. With VADio Cast, this approach was expanded to include audio website content and additional digital touchpoints. As a result, a functional interaction evolved into a customer experience embedded within the overall architecture.
Empowerment
With the comevis VADio Creator Pro and its built-in audio branding elements, GERL. is able to independently design its brand and service communications.
This allows audio and voice customizations to be generated and implemented flexibly and in line with the brand at the touch of a button.
Strategy
The strategic foundation was the development of a comprehensive audio system—with a sound logo, brand mood, and leitmotif as the core elements defining the brand identity.
Auditive branding and customer experience were consistently integrated throughout the process. This resulted in a clear structure that enables the teams to manage both independently and efficiently.

Materialistic elements from the guitar, piano, and minimalist “concrete” sounds convey optimism and a clear focus.
The “cooled-down” texture makes the attitude audible: structured, concrete, and purposeful.


Brand Melody
The ascending four-note sequence symbolizes continuous improvement and flexible evolution. It lends the sound logo a dynamic quality with a clear sense of purpose.
Brand Instrumentation
The combination of electronic and organic elements reflects the diversity of the modern dental world. Innovation and humanity merge to create a distinctive identity.

Customer Experience
Targeted Customer Guidance
The structured call flow guides customers clearly and efficiently through the service process—supported by an integrated mood system that provides orientation and recognizability.
Two curated AI voices take on clearly defined roles: Patrizia, the female voice, greets customers, builds rapport, and initiates the conversation. Andreas, the male voice, acts as a structured guide through menu navigation and selection options—precise, clear, and solution-oriented.

GERL. Creator Audio Voice
With VADio Creator Pro, creating audio and voice content becomes more flexible, precise, and collaborative.
Voice content can be intuitively generated via text or voice input and automatically converted into selected premium-quality AI voices. AI-generated sound effects and direct video dubbing further expand the range of applications.
Automated quality checks, centralized project management, and collaborative workflows ensure that audio outputs remain consistent, brand-compliant, and efficient to produce.



GERL. Cast
Website Audio
VADio Cast transforms website content into an audio format. The combination of corporate podcasts, AI voice, and audio widgets adds an auditory dimension to content and makes it available directly on the website.
With read-aloud functionality, text-to-speech, and hyper-personalized audio playback, visitors can not only read content but also listen to it—making the experience more efficient, accessible, and engaging.
