VGH has over 120 locations in Lower Saxony, almost 400 agencies, and around 1,000 savings bank branches. With more than 4,500 dedicated employees and a comprehensive portfolio of insurance and pension solutions, VGH is one of Germany's largest regional insurers.

We are delighted to accompany VGH on its journey toward a unique, auditive brand world - from the strategic development of the sound logo and the brand song for employer branding to the introduction of tool-based audio brand management.

 

Working closely together, we are creating diverse, brand-consistent audio branding that connects emotionally and inspires enthusiasm at numerous touchpoints. It forms the basis for innovative, forward-looking brand communication.

Project Outline

Challenge

VGH was faced with the task of reimagining its 275-year tradition in terms of communication. The aim was to combine tradition and the future and to reach employees and the public with a new, emotional form of communication.

Methodology

Using tool-based audio brand management with AI support, audio worlds are developed that work across all channels and occasions and bring VGH audibly to life. 

Result

The result is a flexible, emotional brand world that inspires both internal and external target groups and has a lasting impact on the corporate culture. Audio brand management makes VGH audible at events, in daily communication, and in recruiting, and offers all employees the opportunity to become part of the new brand identity themselves.

The project marks a shift from traditional communication to a holistic, audiovisual brand experience. With the introduction of the Sonic Code, the Brand Sound Library, and the VADio Creator for AI voice solutions, audio brand management is now firmly anchored within the company. This enables VGH to respond flexibly to different communication occasions - from events to recruiting - and to reposition the brand.

A special focus is placed on actively involving and inspiring employees. A new sense of community has been created with individual brand songs, ringtones, and audio assets developed specifically for internal events. Employees thus become brand ambassadors who support and bring to life the new auditive identity of VGH.

Strategy

The strategy focuses on developing an audible brand identity that interprets VGH's long-standing tradition in a contemporary way and charges it with emotion. With the help of industry benchmarking and AI-supported tools, a tailor-made audio brand management system is being created that incorporates both internal and external communication channels. The aim is to convey the brand essence authentically and make it tangible across all touchpoints.

Audio Branding Launch Campaign

Brand Song

The brand song “Verdammt geiler Haufen” was produced as part of the audio branding launch campaign. The song is the result of an intelligent collaboration between musicians and AI support.

The song premiered at the corporate event, where Joachim Litwin (Head of Advertising & Sales) performed live on stage.

Capture the Moment

Another highlight of the campaign is the “Capture the Moment” application developed by comevis. Using a QR code, VGH employees at the event can record 15-second videos directly with their smartphones – of themselves, colleagues, and special moments.

All clips are collected in a central dashboard and then edited together into an after movie that vividly captures the atmosphere of the event.

Drone Show

Instead of traditional fireworks, the corporate event features a spectacular drone show, which is sure to be an unforgettable moment thanks to its impressive execution.

​

The choreography of the drones is accompanied by an audio production: the audio branding creates a soundscape that perfectly complements the action in the sky, resulting in a unique interplay of images and sound.

Ringtones

In the run-up to the event, employees will be provided with two exclusive ringtones.

 

The ringtones are based on the new brand song and allow employees to experience the audio branding in their everyday lives in advance, increasing their anticipation for the event.

After Movie

An after movie is created as an emotional review of the corporate event, capturing the special atmosphere of the evening. It is based on the numerous videos that employees recorded using Capture the Moment.

​

 

Edited together into a moving film, the after movie shows impressions, encounters, and highlights, bringing the atmosphere of the anniversary back to life.

Club Edits

To further emphasize the party atmosphere of the corporate event, special club edits were produced from the brand song.

These energetic versions accompanied the dance area during the evening and ensured that employees could experience the spirit of VGH together on the dance floor.

VGH events become unique brand experiences thanks to tailor-made audio branding.

For its 275th anniversary, VGH combined audio and experience in a unique way. The celebrations opened with a ceremony unveiling the new audio branding, framed by an AI dinner music performance.

A corporate event followed, featuring the premiere of the brand’s own song and a audio-staged drone show. Another highlight was the immersive 360° experience “Planet Niedersachsen.” Films and formats on recruitment, history, and storytelling further reinforce a consistent and emotional brand identity.

The goal: to create emotional moments, strengthen the sense of unity, and make the VGH brand not only visible but also audible at every touchpoint.

Audio Scripts for Events

Audio branding also plays a central role in launch events for new products. Concise intros, outros, and keynote teasers give events a clear auditive structure and lend each program item a tangible impact.

 

This not only guides participants through the program, but also allows them to experience a coherent, dramatically condensed production that makes the core of the VGH brand audible.

“Planet Niedersachsen”

As part of the “Planet Niedersachsen” anniversary celebrations, VGH is staging an immersive 360° dome event. comevis has been tasked with designing the auditive transitions. 

 

The targeted audio staging provides an atmospheric finale for viewers leaving the dome and, at the same time, a preparatory welcome for the next visitors. This not only seamlessly bridges the time between films, but also provides visitors with a comprehensive experience.
